Recent Solar Panel Installations

This system needed to fit on a short pitch so we used our frame mounting system. It also had to fit around the chimneys. The modules are Phono Solar 240Wp and the inverter is SMA.

We needed to be very aware of the balance and look of this system.. We mounted seven of the modules on the rear in a frame below a dormer window and the other nine on the side with a simple rail mount as the modules could be easily seen on that part of the building.

The main building had a large dormer window and shading but to the rear of the house were some outbuildings that we were able to get 16 x 190W Phono Solar modules on with an SMA inverter giving a good 3.04Kw system.

Another long thin roof and a bungalow so we needed to mount the modules in landscape and use a frame mounting. We did overrun on this job as we stopped for safety reasons in the November snow. 16 Phono Solar 190 modules just fitted nicely into the space.
Rail Mounted

Small rear facing area but we managed to get 8 x 185W Phono solar modules on with a simple rail mount. Using a Master volt inverter, this system has generated over 1100kW in the first year.

Plenty of space to play with on this but we needed to allow space to fit solar thermal at a later date and balance the system. Once the lower redundant chimney was removed there were no shading issues and the system fitted well. This one used Sharp 245Wp modules and SMA inverter.

We had a limited space to work with on this job and decided that the smaller Caymax 200Wp modules would not only fit better but we could still get a high yield with this 2.4kWp system. An EverSolar inverter completed the system.

We split this system onto two parts of the roof to get the full 4kWp system. Caymax 250W modules on a SW and a SE face generate all day long. The SE pitch can be seen from the road so we mounted 10 modules in a frame mount on that pitch and then another 6 further up on a rail mount. The system has an SMA Sunny Boy inverter that can deal with the unbalanced system with ease.

Even in a conservation area we were able to get permission to put a system on the front pitch of this property. Having satisfied the planning department we installed 12 Phono Solar 240 W modules linked to an SMA inverter.

These 28 x 250W Caymax modules make this 7kWp system the maximum size for a domestic system. Linked to a pair of EverSolar inverters to match the output the system has been generating a very nice income over the summer.
